Segment Options

For hinged doors: Left/Right is hinge hand. For sliding doors: Left/Right is opening direction from front view.

These options apply to the next segment drawn, unless you apply them to a selected segment below.

Grid scale: each square = 100 mm. Use mouse wheel to zoom/scroll.

Mobile: tap to place points. Use two fingers to pan; pinch to zoom.

AMGS Guarding Layout Designer - User Guide

Use this quick guide while building layouts, generating BOMs, and submitting quote requests.

1) Basic Workflow

  1. Set segment options (height, panel type, door options if needed).
  2. Draw layout on the canvas (click start point, then end point).
  3. Click Optimize Panels.
  4. Use Select mode to edit panel/door/post details.
  5. Click Generate BOM.
  6. Export CSV or DXF, or click Submit for Quote.

2) Drawing Tips

  • Snap to grid intersections keeps points on the 100 mm grid.
  • Lock lines to horizontal/vertical helps with straight runs.
  • Maintain corner connections keeps connected corners joined during edits.
  • Press Esc or right-click to cancel a pending segment.

3) Doors

  • Set Component = Door to enable door options.
  • For Single Hinge: use hand selection and Flip Swing Direction.
  • For Sliding: Left/Right controls opening direction (front view).

4) BOM and DXF

  • Generate BOM uses currently displayed optimized state.
  • Export BOM CSV downloads QTY / Part Number / Description.
  • Export Drawing DXF exports geometry and optional labels/BOM table.

5) Submit for Quote

  • Required fields: First Name, Last Name, Company, Email, Phone.
  • Optional: Comments / application details.
  • Submission sends details + BOM CSV + DXF to sales@advmgs.com.
